About me

Prior to retraining in mid-life, I’ve had a varied career that’s included teaching English as a foreign language, project management and human resource management. I came to psychotherapy seeking a career with more richness, depth and connection.

My training

My interests

I am in the fifth year of Masters level professional training in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC), which is accredited by Middlesex University. As a trainee I have regular supervision by a qualified, experienced psychotherapist with additional training in supervision. You can check my trainee status by visiting the UKCP site here, and can see my entry on the BCPC website here.

Issues that I have a particular interest in include: disordered eating, nervous system regulation, grief, shame, and healing after sexual abuse.  As is true of perhaps all psychotherapists with my training, I have a deep interest in how our early childhoods affect who we become as adults.
